Well, you actually are The Infinite Light in the form of a soul that lives within a human body. In other words, the body is like a car and you as the soul are the driver. When your car or your body wears out you will eventually leave it behind. When you have arrived on the other side, you will begin to negotiate with your Guides and Helpers for a new vehicle or spacesuit. Sooner or later you will be reborn into a brand new human body. Some people call this re-incarnation. Others people or teachings call it the incarnation of The Infinite Light in order to experience its own creation...

Who created this soul or where did it come from?
The short answer is - you created it! The long answer and the most perplexing is that the soul in actuality is The Infinite Light in the first place! All soul energies together make up The Infinite Light and thus we have always existed. The Infinite Light or TIL is an "Infinite Holographic Spectrum of Light Energies" that contains all other holograms, beings or souls...

Is there a simpler way to express this?
Let's try this: we are The Infinite Light and experience what we create in order to learn from it and amuse ourselves. Thus, from a limited human point of view "The Infinite Light" that lives within all beings, entities and creatures "creates" all worlds, including all the beings, entities and creatures that live upon these worlds, in order to experience all the happenings that occur on all these planets. It does all this without ever making a mistake! That's why you do not even have to be forgiven when you as "The Infinite Light" look into your rear view mirror. Forgiveness is automatic! Good for you and good for us...

What actually is a soul?
The soul is an infinitely tiny specific event or happening of The Infinite Light. Awakening is becoming aware that this is so! This means that all the deeper questions of Life need to be answered. No doubt you will run into a mighty-maze of questions and when that happens you have began the first stages of awakening or self-discovery. Mighty Moses! You are on your way...

How long does it take to awaken?
There are many stages or levels of awakening and from an ordinary human point of view there is no end to awakening. IOW: it's an endless path and there are no definite destinations. There are only Rest Stops. Stop when you need to go so to speak. The secret of all this is that you are fully awakened already - but for reasons of your own - you are pretending that you are not! That's why you were interested in the question: What is Awakening?

How do I find answers to all the other questions I have?
There is only one way to find answers to all your questions. I suggest that you just ask anybody and everybody. Most people will role their eyes, shake their heads and declare you nuts! So what? What they think or say is none of your business. Sooner or later you will find someone who will make sense to you. Moreover, take your earphones off more often and listen to what the Inner Being has to say. It sings in your heart and speaks of miracles...

Is there an easy way to awaken?
Well, possibly the easiest way might be to keep your earphones on and do nothing. No doubt it will make you awfully restless and full of knots. You might become a perfectly brainwashed robot! Try the following if you like - start to read and contemplate all the articles on this website and the articles of many other authors. Read and contemplate until you drop or fall asleep. Awakening is your job! No one else can do it for you. Just begin and see what happens...

Do I need a specific personal Teacher or Guru?
You are the Teacher, the Guru and the Student! Do what you feel to be the best for you. You are the Cosmic Boss and only Authority! Rely on your intuition and imagination. Stop blowing bubbles, empty word balloons and all other useless volumes of remarks. This includes all small talk and gossip. Become real so to speak! The rest will follow by default...

What about the things that I think went wrong?
In the long run you will find that nothing went either right or wrong! Until that concept becomes your own - I suggest that you begin by forgiving everybody for whatever happened and most of all - forgive yourself. Human Life is about acceptance and forgiveness! Meanwhile, you are the main Actor in the Center-Ring of a Cosmic Play or Performance. You are The Quantum Whole of the Universal Donut. Here's another hint - begin to think big - like a hairy coconut instead of a tiny peanut. Also, never play the part of a pathetic victim...

What chances do I have to awaken in this lifetime?
I do not think that there is one human being in the world who could answer that question! However, although Time or Lifetimes are illusions, the period in which you live right now is in your favor. It has built in Aha-Moments. Then, once you start on your path of awakening you will not rest until you have found enough answers to understand that it is time to relax and surrender...

Who says that you are awakened Gerardus?
As I mentioned before, there are different stages of awakening - I am working on mine like you are working on yours. All of us are in different stages and none of us is higher or lower than any other being. All of us are expressions of "The Infinite Light We Are" and we all play our role in The Infinite Play of Creation...

What is the purpose of this Universal Play?
The purpose of the Play is to awaken all souls and other Light Energies. All souls and beings universally participate in the Play of Creation and play their roles for the sake of experience and entertainment and naturally to eventually fully awaken. When the Play of Creation or Cosmic Show is properly understood - it becomes a hilarious show of infinite pleasure and delight. We must learn to participate and co-create...

Life is about fun...
To reach that fun-stage of awakening is what all of us are working towards. In the mean time, do what you feel like! Life is an infinite affair with the very Self You Are and by no means take the whole thing too seriously. Life is about fun - not about seriousness or ambition. It certainly is not about bobbing back and forth in front of wailing walls or prostrating en mass with other inmature thinkers. Nor is it getting all dressed up in fancy costumes and then get lost in Rituals like they do in Rome! Oh my God - what a sight...
